Nevermind the fact that the Motorola Droid Xyboard tablets don’t have that much of a spec improvement over the previous generation Motorola XOOM. And nevermind the silly name. The main issue with the Xyboards when they launched was the price, a staggering $ 530 for the 16GB 10.1 inch and $ 430 for the 16GB 8.2 inch with a two year contract.
Perhaps Verizon was seeing lackluster sales of the pair of tablets and decided to do something about the price. They’ve dropped the price of the Droid Xyboard by $ 50 across the board, bringing the entry level 8.2 inch 16GB to a more reasonable $ 379 and the 10.1 incher starts at $ 479.
